Below the Upper Barrakka Gardens, a row of restored guns still fires the daily time-gun salute at 12:00 and 16:00, just as it did for ships in the Grand Harbour.
A ticket gets you up close to the guns, with a guided tour, audio guides and the Malta Time-Gun Museum. You can also watch the firing for free from the gardens above. Arrive about 15 minutes early — it gets busy.
