Common questions

Is Kidoo free?

Yes. Kidoo is free to use, has no adverts, and we never sell your data. Some places and events charge for entry — we show prices where we know them.

Is there an app?

Kidoo works in any browser, and there are apps for iPhone and Android — see what they offer.

Do I need an account?

No. Everything works without one, and what you save stays on your device. Signing in with Apple or Google keeps your saved places and family details across your devices.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Me → Delete account. It removes your account and everything stored with it straight away. You can carry on using Kidoo without an account.

The opening hours or price are wrong

Details change often. Open the listing and use Report a problem, and we'll check it. Always confirm with the venue before setting out.

How do you choose what to list?

We list places and events in Malta and Gozo that work for families with children. Venues can suggest themselves; listings are free, and we don't take payment for being included or ranked higher.

Why does Kidoo ask for my location?

Only to sort places by how close they are, and only when you ask it to. Your coordinates go to our server for that search and are never stored, never linked to you and never put in web addresses. You can say no and set a home area instead in Me.

How is my family's data handled?

Our privacy policy explains it in full. In short: analytics and error reports are off until you allow them, and children's ages are stored to filter ideas, not to identify anyone.

How we order listings

  • Featured listings are paid promotions by the venue or organiser. They always carry the Featured label and come first — except when you sort by Nearest — and only when they match your filters and search. Paying never changes what we say about a place.
  • After that, you choose: Most popular (how often families have opened a listing lately), Nearest (from where you are, or your home town) or Top rated (families' ratings; listings without any use Kidoo's own starting rating).
  • Places in Gozo come after those in Malta, unless you're in Gozo. Restaurants and libraries show when you choose their category or search for them.
