1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the Kidoo website at kidoo.mt or the Kidoo apps (together, “Kidoo”), which are run by [Company name], registered in Malta under number [Company registration number], of [Registered address], Malta (“we”, “us”). By using Kidoo you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Kidoo.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data. If you downloaded Kidoo from Apple's App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply to the download, but we — not Apple or Google — are responsible for Kidoo.

2. What Kidoo is

Kidoo lists places, activities and events that may suit children, with information such as ages, prices, opening hours, facilities and directions. It is free to use. We may add, change or remove features and listings at any time.

Some listings may be marked Featured because the venue or organiser has paid for more visibility. Featured listings are always labelled, and paying doesn't change the information we show about a place.

3. Accuracy of information

We gather information from venues, organisers, official websites and parents, and show when a listing's details were last checked. Even so, information can be incomplete, out of date or wrong — events are cancelled, prices rise and facilities close. Kidoo is a starting point, not a guarantee: please confirm important details (opening times, age limits, accessibility, prices, safety requirements) directly with the venue or organiser before you go.

Weather forecasts come from MET Norway and are estimates. Travel times are rough guides based on straight-line distance. Photos are illustrative and credited to their owners.

If you spot something wrong, please use Report outdated info on the listing.

4. Venues, events, bookings and other websites

Places and events listed on Kidoo are run by independent businesses, organisations and public bodies, not by us. Any tickets, bookings, payments or visits are an arrangement between you and them, on their terms. Links to other websites, booking pages and maps are provided for convenience; we don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult. You are responsible for deciding whether a place or activity is suitable and safe for your children, and for following the rules of each venue.

5. Accounts

You can use Kidoo without an account. To create one you must be 18 or over and give a valid email address, or sign in with Apple or Google. Keep access to your email and devices secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You can delete your account at any time in Me → Account → Delete account.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or are used to abuse the service.

6. Reports and suggestions

When you send us a report or a suggestion, you agree that:

• it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and not misleading or offensive;
• if you suggest a place or event you run, you are allowed to share its details and any links or information you include;
• you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual licence to use, edit and publish the factual information in it as part of Kidoo listings (we write listings in our own words and never publish your message or contact details as written);
• we may decide not to act on it, and don't have to reply.

7. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• send spam, false reports or content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes others' rights;
• try to break, overload or get around the security of Kidoo or its providers;
• copy listings in bulk, scrape or systematically extract Kidoo's content or data, or use them to build a competing service, without our written permission;
• use Kidoo in a way that breaks the law or harms others.

8. Intellectual property

The Kidoo name, logo, app, design and listing descriptions belong to us or our licensors. You may use Kidoo for your own personal, non-commercial planning and share links to listings. Photos, maps and data from others are used under their licences and credited where required (for example Wikimedia Commons photographers, OpenStreetMap contributors and MET Norway).

9. Our responsibility to you

Kidoo is provided free, “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running and accurate but can't promise it will always be available, error-free or complete.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from reliance on information in Kidoo, from visits, bookings or purchases with third parties, or from events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under Maltese and EU law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to Kidoo or the law. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. If you keep using Kidoo after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta. If you live in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you can bring claims in the courts where you live. Before going to court, please contact us — most problems can be sorted out quickly.
