About
St Paul's Catacombs is the largest group of underground Roman cemeteries in Malta, carved into the rock just outside Mdina. A visitor centre explains the site before you go down into the lit tunnels and tombs.
Passages are narrow with steps, so leave pushchairs at the top. Best for children who are happy in dim, enclosed spaces.
